Participants should bring if they can (but not absolutely necessary): a digital camera, a tripod, and movable action figures (lego guys work well, but anything with moving arms and legs will do.

Wildlife Film Making
What is it like to be a wildlife filmmaker? Join Robert and Laura Sams, two award-winning children’s filmmakers, for some tips, stories and live music. You will see a short film called Bearly Alike, about grizzly bears. Then get ready to find animals in the woods, listen for animal sounds, choose music and try sound effects. Led by independent film makers Laura & Rob Sams, Sisbro Edventures.
Making Great Videos
Learn the basics of camera usage, typical camera shots that make video interesting, how to make videos with your friends that are fun and exciting, and pixillation as an art form! Come away with a short video and a number of ideas for video productions of your own. Please bring a camera, one blank tape, and all available accessories. If you don’t have a camera, still attend and share a camera provided. A short screening for parents will be held at 11 a.m., at the end of the class. TV Production teacher, Gary Beaudoin, leads this informative workshop.
Oceans Alive!
Learn about the tricks and challenges of underwater photography and filming. See a demonstration of scuba gear and learn about ocean ecology and conservation. Led by local film producer and educator Bill Robison.
