A beautiful film spanning two centuries that allows a glimpse into Indian history and traditions. This love story involves an English woman who marries an Indian king in the 1850s. He is too progressive for his peers and is murdered. The wife is accused and disappears. Later, the couple reappear in contemporary India. When they recognize one another, you ask -- have they been reincarnated or what was their destiny.
